If your child hasn't use care with a service provided by TeamKids for 14 weeks or more, Centrelink will cease the enrolment for your child automatically.
What does this mean for families?
If the last session or sessions booked was not attended and not cancelled 48 hours or more in advance, then any child care subsidy may be revoked. if this happens it means that you will be charged for the amount of child care subsidy that was revoked.
This rule also affects the first booking for a child with a service or provider. If you book in a session for the first time and your child doesn't attend and it was not cancelled 48 hours or more in advance, then child care subsidy will not be applied. This means you will incur the full fee any sessions until your child physically attends.
I have been affected by this rule, what do I need to do next?
If you child did not attend the first or last session in a 14 week period due to illness, please provide a medical certificate within 28 days of the absence. This will allow us to apply a credit to the session and avoid the full fee being charged now or in 14 weeks time.
